My sister made another baby.

Number 4, as of last Thursday. Now she's got two boys and two girls. This brings the grand total of nieces and nephews calling me Uncle Dainon to, oh, 12 or 13. I enjoy the glimpses into parenthood my siblings provide me, for they're all that I'm allowed at this point. I am consistently amazed at their creating these beautiful, beautiful children. When I mentioned to Mel that I thought most newborns looked like aliens, she was quick to retort: "Not mine." And she's right, really. Little Colby Douglas (though she should've went with 'Jack', after the famous cheese) has a full head of hair already. And he spent the majority of the time I was there completely sacked out. A wee man after my own heart, he is. Congrats, Mel ... only three more to go if you want to tie mom's grand total of 7.

Handsome, and the baby's not so bad either! Congratulations! Consider yourself lucky that you have so many nieces and nephews. I've always wanted just one and since I'm an only child, it's virtually impossible.

That's a very cute baby. I love the card, too. Did you make it?

Zina ... you're reminding me of Raising Arizona a lil bit.

HL ... that piece of art was made by his oldest sister, Kendra. There were a couple others that listed three names as the parents hadn't chosen yet. Comedy. As for the T-shirt, I made that one all by myself. It's a DIY generation, it is.

Cindy? Pobrecita. I'll let you hold the baby if you wanna.

BS ... see above.

I'm jealous. I have one nephew, Cameron who is amazingly brilliant but lives too far away. Someday I'll sprout my own sprog though and they'll have to visit me.

You know something scarey .. its like your world and my worlds are nearly the same, cept they aren't.

my baby sister just had her baby daughter a few days ago ... which makes me aunty to 13 .. and this makes her 7th child .. see .. in a very round about and absolutely nonconnected way .. we are nearly not the same .. except my world is upside down or something.

Um, because if she does, it's cute that she writes that way. I'm not making fun. Really.
