Jazz hands.

There were a lot of good parts about today, but I'm just going to give you the ending.

Briefly, it entailed my wandering a couple blocks away from my place to take in some free jazz music at the Salt Lake City Jazz Festival. It was the last night of the 3-day festival, it was much too hot to call it a day inside my oven of a house and, besides, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was the final headliner. They swing like nobody's business. I'd like to say they were the the high point of my night. If I were especially nice, I'd say it was the fact I got to boogie on down a bit with Farrah on her final night in town. But, honestly, it was seeing these two old guys get into the spirit of the scene. Words fail me. Luckily, video does not.

that's the most hilarious yet genuine thing I've seen. hah. all those flashes, I think people were trying to document it with cameras, but that probably wouldn't work as well as video.

I was there as well, so sorry that I missed that. Was too busy being thrown around by my swingin' friend.

And I believe that I met Farrah earlier that day. A little trippy.

The guy facing the camera was there on Friday night too. It reminded me of the scene in "Sliding Doors" when Gerry sees everyone celebrating after the boat race and describes it as "some sort of sponsored epileptic fit."

I see that guy at every free music fest in Salt Lake. People love that guy. Women want to dance with him all night long (as well as men, hence the video). Proof that life begins at, what, 75? So awesome.

I didn't know that 'jazz hands' were real. I thought it was a joke about cheerleaders. I'm dumbfounded.

The video is awesome. Mr. Bojangles is everywhere. And I have been dying to catch him on video. Best seats in the whole crowd. Seriously good fun.
