Are you having a laugh?

So this story has been amusing me for the past week or so. And I know it's probably not the politically correct thing to say that a story involving something being shot at (yes, someTHING, not exactly someone) is giving me joy, but I'm saying it regardless. At least nobody was hurt, am I right? After you click on the link and read through it, here are a few things I'd like you to think about. This is your food for thought.

1. The radio station was playing Zydeco music. Zydeco. They were playing it at the time of the shooting. How much do you have to hate it to want to shoot at it? For me, it ranks below polka (and I like polka, so back off). I own no Zydeco because, for me, it happens to be unlistenable. I'd rather run my ears over a cheese grater, seriously. So consider this: What genre of music would drive you to busting a cap towards the general area of the person playing it? For me, it'd be anything highlighting the Michael Bolton catalog.

2. Re-read this quote. "There was actually a Zydeco music show that was on when this happened," Bradley said. "Zydeco, if anything, is kind of happy music." First of all, no it's not, and secondly ... that's some funny right there.

3. Lastly, when posing these kinds of questions to a friend of mine, here's what he had to say. "I think a tribute to Enya orchestrated by Yanni and performed on Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion would make me want to shoot my own mother."

Now you go.

First, Garth Brooks. Second, because I work in the spa industry, Enya. Third, Nickelback.

I'm contributing the hostilities directly to the mentioned fund drive. Ugh. Usually these only make me want to shoot myself, but why not go straight to the source?

I don't even know what Zydeco is. I've never heard of it until today, but I think I love it.

Zydeco loses its flavor with me really quickly...but I think Cumbia played by Richard Simmons at 3 in the morning would make me go postal. Cumbia is my numero uno. Oh, how I hate that stuff (but like several other latin genres).

Because of a summer job when I was 19, UB40 could drive me to maim. Also, my mom used to wake me by playing a 45 of the Disney Main Street Electrical Parade. Fun when you are there with all the lights, very grating as an alarm clock.

In case you don't know what it is...

You guys are helping make a rich soundtrack for the mentally deranged (and Zydeco's on it, whether you like it or not, Ward).
