Right now is my favorite.

Band of Horses is playing behind me, offering up a tune called "I Go To the Barn Because I Like The." Gotta love a run-on sentence of a song title. Anyway ... it's the closest they've ever got to the pastoral friendliness of My Morning Jacket. No use being copycats. It's nice and quiet and amazing. It's nicely amazing. I've opened my window wide after seeing how fierce the wind was blowing on its other side, only then discovering that it had chased the sunshine away and gave this portion, this minute section of my life some bright grey. It's brilliant. It's a still life painting gone fidgety. And now, now that I've caught nature in the act and am all caught up in observing, the swaying trees have paused. The dancing has stopped, but not entirely. It's slowed. And then it's blowing again. And not. The music tries pretty desperately to keep up, offer up a music video with no need of editing and Everything All The Time gives me another pretty polished gem in "St. Augustine." It silences the wind some.

This is all I need right now to keep my spirits lit up and light and jubilant. I mean that.
