My little brother got hitched.

And it wasn't to his girlfriend, neither. She's prolly not going to be very happy.

Okay, the story to accompany this photos is so weird, I need to let him share it himself. In his own words then ...
"ok ok ... this really isn't MY wedding ... I just had to do a wedding photo shoot for someone who was getting married to someone she has never met before. they've been 'dating' through letters and e-mail. He is out in Iraq and will come back and get married to this lady when he has time ... sssoooo I'm the lucky face that gets to be sent out to people I don't know, in their wedding invitations ... kinda weird ... but she likes it."

I have no words.

This confuses me so much. Are they officially going to get married (the guy in Iraq and her)? They could send me a picture of him and of her and I could superimpose them together kind of like how Ward does her pioneer pictures. Won't this picture of your brother confuse the recipients of the invitations? Your brother is cute, he can stand in in my wedding pictures - for reals!

You're not the only confuzzled one. Maybe he'll jump on here and try to essplain things at some point. Deej? You there?

i think they should photoshop iraq-boy's face onto your brother's body. that way, nobody will get confused at the wedding..

this sounds like a business endeavor to me. i bet there's good demand for such things. for example - next year, will your brother stand in on christmas pictures with me so i can send them out with my christmas cards? i already have matching sweaters and a perfect fireplace mantle picked out

I like her sleeves. They're real big.

I don't get it.

Getting married to a complete stranger is awesome.

By awesome I mean stupid.

Since I've never seen DJ's girlfriend before, the title made my jaw drop. I had to read the explanation about 3 times! I'm surprised DJ did that. Very interesting indeed!

Yeah, the consept was REALLY weird..and they acctually did superimpose his face on my body... but apparently the REAL Groom is well.... a bit larger than me. So I'm sure it ended up looking really weird. She was also old enough to be my mother, so that added to the awkwardness of the shoot. I wish her future husband good luck- she is not what I'd want in a lady...a bit obnoxious.
yes, it is exactly like I said also... they've never met... they won't meet until a few days before their wedding.... which wont happen until he gets a few days off to come back home. Sounds romantic ,huh? No...not really.

P.s. I would like to thank you for the kind invitation to be in your wedding....although I will have to decline. The only wedding I will be standing in as the Groom in will be my own to my very HOT and very curvy girlfriend. Did I mention she's HOT?!

Thanks for clearing the waters, lil bro.

Dainon...I occassionally check your blog from the link on Ashley's page, and I must say that this is the most bizarre story I've heard yet. Very entertaining, though. I wish I would've had sleeves like that at my wedding.

Even with his explanation, a few things still have me bewildered. I guess my questions are:

Where did he meet this woman?

Why in the world did he agree to do this? Did she pay him?

Did he have to kiss her for any pictures?

Was that her wedding dress from a first marriage in the 80's? (I'm not trying to be mean, I really am curious.)

In case he doesn't pop back on her again very soon (and I'm guessing he may not), I do believe she is connected to him somehow through his job. That sorta kinda answers those first couple questions, anyway.

Wow, I collect crazy wedding stories, and this one definitely is a keeper. And by collecting, I just try to remember them.

Why the flip is she wearing her freaking wedding gown in engagement photos?

as my roommate says, the kind of girl that would marry someone she has never met. Her parents must be very happy for her.

What is she going to tell people when she is in a photo with the "real" guy?

this is beyond weird...and why in the flip did your brother agree to this?

Okay, so a couple of my questions were answered. I guess it does pay off to read the previous comments.
