It's gonna be a Vampire Weekend soon.

It's nice when a band sounds like it lives up to the hype. Does Vampire Weekend come off sounding like Graceland-era Paul Simon? Sometimes. Does Peter Gabriel play a hand in influencing their sound? Eh, maybe a little. I'm just pretty stinking happy the album sounds So So Good and that they're on their way back to Salt Lake City on March 31. My tix came in the mail yesterday afternoon. If they're half as entertaining as their music video for "A-Punk", it will be worth every penny of the $13 I paid to see the show. Word to the wise (and hip and overly cautious): if you're thinking of going, snag those tix soon ... this thing's gonna sell out crazy soon. Call it an instinct.

Glad to hear you liked them. I was reading about them online and thought I should check them out, but always better to hear about it from someone whose taste you trust.

I have tickets to see Editors and Hot Hot Heat tomorrow night at the House of Blues. Maybe this Vegas thing isn't so bad after all.

I'm so excited that they're coming back! I wanted to see them in December but it was snowing like crazy that night and I would have never been able to get there.

That snow-storm show was a Christmas Special I will not soon forget. Enjoy those tix. I personally don't plan to go because I don't think they could top that last experience.

I've been listening to this album almost non-stop for a week. Yeah, they sound eerily like Paul Simon's Graceland in the beginning of Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa, but they are different enough, they don't. Personally, Oxford Comma right now is probably my favorite...but I love the raincoat chorus of A-Punk too.

I'll stop taunting you with Jeff Tweedy. That was kind of cruel of me. Speaking of music, I'm super, super tempted to just get a Bonnaroo ticket and say screw work.
