My acting debut.

It's easy to get roped into things when you accept before fully knowing what it is you're getting into. The following video/commercial/podcast stressed me out a bit and made me sweat more than I needed to ... I even got criticized afterward for the way I pronounced the word "mobile" (and, yes, I really do say it that way) ... but it turned out looking a lot better than I thought it would. If you could see the outtakes, you'd see me gumming up my words, scratching out entire "fork-knive-spoon" analogies, having a cameraman who was practically in my lap due to some short cords and, during that end part, having that friggin' bag pop open in the midst of filming it. The guy who wrote the script (otherwise known as Creent) pictured Bruce Campbell in those Old Spice commercials when he penned this one, thinking all along that I'd be jumping at the chance to participate. Well, some things just work out in the end.

People like enjoying themselves? Neat!! I like it.

I say mobile the same way you do. Isn't that how we're supposed to say it?

You did a nice job. You look very casual and cool. Really!

I pronounce mobile the same as way you do too. That bag is sweet.

I agree with Sara-you do look casual and cool.

You know, Dave, if you want the bag, there may or may not be a Web address there at the end you can find it. Ha.

Case in point? Did Matt put you up to this?

Matt would not be so cruel.

Hey, you did just fine.

Please, please, please post the outtakes!

Ha ... no outtakes to speak of. Just memories. I didn't put this thing together. I'm just the talent. No, more like the "talent" ... free and able.

Now I'm regretting not throwing "agile" into that script somewhere.

So, when you're "mobile" and travelling, do you ever go swimming in a ce-ment pond?

You're so dumb!

Yeah, because when I go out to dinner with "friends" and they have me as a captive audience, I always hope they'll try to sell me some overpriced fruit juice.

ha. join SAG! you spoke, I think that counts.

Dainon. said...

deej, if by "dumb" you mean "awesome", you're so, so right.

pr0le. I love it when I attract the smarmy haters. I don't know how it happened, but it did. Thanks for stopping by!

ewesa, I'm ON it! Watch out, world. Today, bag commercials, tomorrow ... Annie!

Dainon, I should have been clearer... you did great in your role. I just have a deep distrust of MLM's, and sales people, that's all.

Your post wasn't about the product, it was about you in the video, and so my comment was out of line. Not trying to be a hater... :)

I enjoyed you and the ad. Hearing you say "mo-bile" was a little wierd, but hey, why don't you call me on my "mo-bile" phone sometime--we'll chat. Luv ya Bro.

I also thought it was very cool and laid-back.

I have been translating for xango's new website from English to German/Swedish. The world is small.
