Checking the temperature.

Ever get to a spot in your life where you feel like the proverbial winds of change are coming, and you don't know what that means necessarily ... only that they're coming directly your way and they're blowing fairly hard and they're not really diverting their course and there's nothing you can do about it ... and so you push on, hoping it might mean something good in the end, but nevertheless bracing yourself for the flipside of that coin in case it doesn't necessarily happen like that? Do you know what I mean? Because it's exactly how I feel right now. Balancing somewhere between feeling like I'm gonna yak with the power of half a-dozen falling down drunkards and, oh, digging my heels in, planting my flag and discovering a whole new land all my own. Wonder how long this ride's gonna last?

Way too cryptic for me to understand, but I hope it's all good things for you!

I dunno... but I hear you about the yakking part. And I'm hoping it won't last much longer...

I know exactlly how that feels! Or at least I think I do....because I am feeling much the same way, unless I am misreading you. Which isn't out of the question, I suppose.

My remedy is to try to nap all the chaos away. Hasn't worked yet. The anticipation, excitement, dread, fear, joy. etc.all still there when you wake up and need to be dealt with.

Good luck to ya.

Just wait it's an out and back, so soon they will be tail winds instead of head winds and you'll be glad they are there. I swear it.

oh yes! i know exactly that feeling! i may have not used those exact descriptions - but i know what you mean and the best i have figured out to do is to pray a lot and walk carefully. i try to remember it's like christmas morning - be open but be ready.

And I'm sorry for adding a few mph to those proverbial winds...

heh heh, just be careful d-you might wake up one day with a new job in a new city, far far away from everything you thought you wanted. those winds have a way of wreaking real havoc. in the best possible way.

When you discover that land, make sure to rise slowly from the ground where you have just put that flag of many colors, then make sure the bright, sunsetting rays of the sun hit you just so. Then, make sure you kind of squint, and then make sure to bring your right hand up to shade your eyes and THEN....you got it, do a panorama, slow scan....wait....wait, scan back...

What IS that?

Um, yeah, see that yak in the distance? i think the winds misunderstood what you wanted.
