I have succumbed.

I will go on record right now saying that I am the worst bicyclist I've ever met. I'm so bad, I can't even rightly refer to myself as a "bicyclist" without looking like I'm flat-out lying. I give it the old college try now and again but, at the mere hint of a hill, I huff and I puff until I revert to going backwards and collapsing into a nearby ditch, surrendering. I'm beyond bad. All the same, I got tired of being left behind when a group of my friends decided to bike places. I could have jogged alongside them, I guess, but it just wouldn't have been the same. Peer pressure has won me over. I was pretty lazy about finding a bike to call my own, but, leave it to one of my friends to offer a big fat discount if I were to buy a new bike through her. Twenty minutes later, I gave her the OK. And for under $200, no less. This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship (me and my big, brown bike, that is, not me and my already friendly friend). So ... who wants to go to the park? Just give me a 15-minute headstart, m'kay?

I guess you wouldn't be surprised at all if I said your bike is perfect. Love the big, brown bike.

How ironic! I bought a bike today too! If I could e-mail the picture, you'd get a kick out of it. It's my own rickshaw bike! Sooo cool! Anyone need a ride somewhere? 'Ol anonymous Mom
