Lagoon Day.

I don't absolutely hate Lagoon. I do think the amusement park caters to the wee kids and those families that live in trailer parks (spend a day there of people watching and you'll recognize an uncanny likeness between the attendees and those who chant "Jerry! Jerry!" from an a) live studio audience or b) couch). I also think it's ridiculously expensive for what you get (I do believe you can get into Disneyland for less than it costs here, no lie) and, if the spinning rides don't get you to toss your cookies, the greeezy food they tend to serve you there will. BUT ... I digress. When you're amongst friends and the tickets are free, why not blow off 7 or 8 hours to stand in 45-minute long lines? All in all, we rode on maybe six rides ... less than one per hour. Highlights include when the ladies in our group were changing into their swimsuits on the Rattlesnake Rapids ride, only to get cat calls from a lot of 12-year-old boys and theirs dads still in line (classy), watching Fabiola eat a slab of butter without thinking twice about it and, oh, getting good and drenched in the dancing water. No lines on that one! All in all, it was a human zoo, it was, but a fun one, nonetheless. I still have two days to decide whether or not I want to go back for $8 this week. I really don't think I'm gonna.

Comparing Disneyland to Lagoon is ridiculous, I'll admit, mostly because you can do more than 6 rides in a full day in So Cal. Lagoon? No way.
