The Red Eye gets a makeover.

I could likely bore you at this point with the San Fran trip I returned from less than 12 hours ago, recounting the high points and throwing up some pretty photos for your perusal, but, honestly? I don't wanna. I had fun and ate some tasty delights and there were definite thrills, but I am exhausted and there is work to be chipped at. I've been chipping all morning. I will continue to chip.

I did, however, want to pass on this news ... the Red Eye (that radio show I tend to talk about on occasion, the one I've had for going on a year-and-a-half now) will be the Red Eye no longer. And, when I say that, I mean the name of my program will go away, but the show will go on. Starting next week, I'll be rock piloting at a new time ... 8 to 10:30 PM, every Thursday. Why I have to lose the name, I don't rightly know. I do know this, however: while I may miss a good Twilight show or two downtown this summer, it's an all-around better time slot to command the airwaves for a spell. Will there be more listeners? Oh, yes. Will I be more alert and less caffeinated? Also a yes. Will I play your crappy requests for Moby? Still a no.

The more things change, isn't it nice to know that some things never will? I know I take comfort in that.

Thank you for the shouts of applause. Because anonymous shouts of appreciation are still shouts of appreciation.

More Moby. Less talking.

The anonymous shouts are from the frog. I really need a block of good music to get in a good painting space. Plus I just love it so much. I've struggled to stay awake with you on the red eye. Now I'll get to listen to the end of your shows.ha Looking forward to it. em
