Wastin' away.

In a few days, I'm leaving to Panama to spend my time snorkeling, beaching, hiking through rain forests, kayaking amongst the alligators and, well, stuff of that ilk. Brothers and sisters, a mom and stepdad and plenty of brother-in-laws will be doing the same thing. We'll see how much of it we can explore in a couple weeks' time and, if the wind blows right, maybe I'll decide to go back again and stay for a while longer. Maybe I'll write the Great American Novel there, you never know. Life is rich with possibilities. Anyway, there aren't a lot of good Panama-related songs out there, but my friend Olivia was kind enough to clue me into this one by a band called Casados yesterday ... and she said something about it being able to make your heart swell and break, all in the same three-and-a-half minutes. The best part is, well, she was right.

Trumps Van Halen's "Panama," anyway (no matter what you diehard David Lee Roth fans might believe otherwise).

Dear ponyboy,

We will miss you as you travel far, far away from us. But we find comfort knowing that although miles away, you will still grace us with your elegant prose on life and living. Please return to us soon and...

stay golden.

New settings pretty much entrance me. I do believe there will be words while I am away. Words and photos and video. I happen to be one of the share'ers (sometimes).
