Last drops.

I don't want to quite put it into words lest it come true even faster than it already is, but I will ... summer is drifting towards one of those casual closes. The sun still shines ... and rather majestically on days like today ... but, with that, the favorite gray sweater the moths chewed on all year gets pulled out again in the nighttime. Blankets on the bed are more a necessity than a nicety. Open windows while driving feel more like air conditioning than they ever did. Bonfires are hypnotic and beautiful, along with the amazingly in-sync crickets. Life gets a little crunchier as the leaves start to change color. And, well, it's time to sigh some big ones.

I must say ... I love the autumn as much as I do the spring. It'd be my fervent hope it comes and stays for a few months, but that never seems to be the case, does it? It's in and it's out like some kinda beautiful stranger. That said, I look through the few photos below and I end up unleashing some hidden pocket of energy ... I now want to treat tonight like it's the last summer night EVER. I think this means I have to go ride my bike and throw my Frisbee and find an open taco stand to drop a fiver at and watch movies until it's too late. Does that sound good? Does it sound like it should all be done with bare feet and laughter? Who's with me?

LOL! I didn't see this entry until after I posted my same sentiment. Guess I'm not the only one.

Just my wee point 'n shoot CASIO EXIFILM. Same one I've had for a few years now. I just play a lot with the colors afterward usually. You like?
